ICTAlive is a complete ICT course for key stages 1 and 2, based on the QCA’s ICT schemes of work. It provides 155 lessons to help primary teachers deliver skills, knowledge and understanding to primary children. Each lesson contains a set of structured materials, including a unit opener, a lesson starter, ICT skills, lesson activities (differentiated to three levels), and a teacher plenary. The idea is that ICTAlive provides every ICT lesson that a primary school would need to teach through Years 1 to 6.

Once pupils have used ICTAlive they will be armed with the knowledge they need to use ICT in the other subject areas in the curriculum.

ICTAlive includes all the software tools needed to deliver the ICT curriculum. The software is based on Textease Studio Plus, RM Colour Magic and Junior Control Insight. Schools that have Microsoft Office software can choose to use this with ICTAlive also.

ICTAlive also provides teachers with a set of tools designed to save teachers’ time and increase their control over the ICT curriculum by helping them plan, prepare, assess and report.

There’s a built-in training course and educational and technical support is available.
