All you iMac and iBook owners can now get the ultimate iCcessory - the iPod. This mobile MP3 music player can handle up to 1,000 CD-quality songs and weighs just 6.5 ounces. It is designed to synchronise with the new version of Apple’s popular free iTunes software (iTunes 2) which enables users to download songs from the Internet and CD and organise them into playlists which can then be copied into MP3 players or even on to CD. According to Apple, the iPod can download an entire CD in under 10 seconds - it uses the high-speed FireWire connection rather than USB. Apple claims that this is 30 times faster than MP3 players using USB. How can you justify this to yourself if not your head who might view it as iWash (it is pound;329 after all)? The iPod’s high-capacity hard disc (5gigabytes) can double as a portable high-speed hard drive.www.apple.comukstore
