No FE colleges rated outstanding

Ofsted rated not a single FE college in England as "outstanding" for teaching and learning in 2011-12. Sir Michael Wilshaw, chief inspector of the regulatory body, said the sector is focusing on vocational courses of "little real value" and "needs reorientating".
