Teachers were sent almost 5,000 pages of information and guidance in the last year of the Labour government, according to the Conservatives. The analysis of emails sent by the Department for Children, Schools and Families between April 2009 and April 2010 suggests that schools received 4,846 pages of guidance, regulations and details of government initiatives.
