WHEN our home-school agreement came home in the autumn I took the trouble to write to both the headteacher and the chair of governors to explain why I felt unable to sign the agreement. To date I have received neither reply nor acknoledgement from either. There were the usual flowery phrases about cementing partnerships in the preamble; but surely the essence of a partnership is communication?
