Eleven pupils have been suspended after staging a walk-out in protest over being taught by supply teachers.
Police were called to Berry Hill high school and sports college in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent, on Monday after around 40 pupils and their parents held a demonstration calling for the headteacher to leave.
The pupils, aged about 15, said they were angry about the number of supply teachers taking their classes and not being allowed to wear jewellery or body piercings.
