BT’s literacy project, FutureTalk, is linked with the Dome’s TalkZone, which it sponsors, and focuses on improving young people’s communications skills. BT is aiming to involve 3,500 schools and one million young people. The project covers storytelling (4 to 7 years), drama (9 to 13 years). The Crag Rats, a touring theatre company, is taking a FutureTalk show to 3,000 shows across the UK. The Post Office

The Post Office provides a wide range of educational services to support primary and secondary schools, and these are highlighted in The Teacher’s Post newspaper, regularly distributed across the UK. These services include packs to support national curriculum projects, as well as training support to Post Office staff and teachers to underpin local partnerships. Each year, hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren also take part in the Post Office’s card recycling scheme and enter its annual Young Letter Writer competition, both supporting its focus on literacy. The museum’s education centre has recently published resource material designed by teachers that links directly into national curriculum history at Key Stage 2.
