ARE SHAKESPEARE’S plays the thing or just sound and fury signifying nothing? Teachers will have a chance to discuss ways to fire pupils’ enthusiasm for the Bard at a series of events starting tomorrow.

The Royal Shakespeare Company has teamed up with the National Association for the Teaching of English to launch a programme of training events for teachers with a sell-out conference in Sheffield. Tomorrow’s event is expected to be the first of several in which the two organisations will work in tandem.
