Language as art

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/language-art
Developed by primary school children and described as “language as art”, this is useful if you want to extend literacy lessons to show that some languages evolved from images. The beauty and economy of the calligraphy is displayed clearly. The explanations are done in detail explaining the various pen strokes and the materials that go to make the total effect. There is a great deal of material here for an imaginative exploration of language.
