ADVANCED BIOLOGY TOPIC BOOK BEHAVIOUR. By Michael Dockery and Michael Reiss. Cambridge University Press. pound;10.95.

A wealth of material ranging from early theories on learning to the modern understanding of the evolution of social behaviour. The text is well written and illuminated with well-chosen examples and illustrations. More difficult topics, such as optimal foraging theory, are generally made very clear. This is a fascinating area of biological science; A2 students will benefit from reading this book.
