The Chair Of The Aoc Will Step Down At The End Of This Month

Julie Nerney, chair of the Association of Colleges, will step down at the end of July, it has been revealed.

The AoC said Ms Nerney, who took up her post at the beginning of last year, would be taking on a new position “leading a major national transformation programme”.

‘Energy and focus’

Stepping down would “allow Julie the chance to give her new role the energy and focus it requires, whilst ensuring that the AoC board has the resource necessary to support and lead the organisation and sector through these unprecedented times”, the organisation said.

“We’d like to thank Julie for her hard work, enthusiasm and commitment to AoC and to our member colleges, and for helping to drive forward the strategic vision for the organisation since she joined the board in October 2018. We wish her all the best in her new role.”
