It can help you to:

  • Know the precise goals of the new science curriculum
  • Gain the tools to engage pupils with the new physics GCSE
  • Refresh your health and safety knowledge associated with practical work at KS4
  • Provide pupils with up to date and accurate next steps for associated careers in science and STEM

Who should enroll on this course?

This course has been designed primarily for secondary physics teachers early in their career, or non-subject specialists who want to improve their subject knowledge.

Course leader Adam Little teaches the techniques and methods behind educating the new science curriculum. You’ll be given the skills to help build on what children observe in the natural world, helping foster the skills and mind-sets behind scientific learning.

How is the course delivered?

The course is delivered entirely online, which allows you to gain extra knowledge, while remaining in your current role.

It has been broken up into eight units, each covering a different portion of the KS4 physics curriculum. Each unit contains two separate videos, the first of which will cover the course tutor (Adam Little) explaining practical techniques, activities and demonstrations that can be used by your teachers in the classroom.

The second video will look at classroom practice via interviews with students and teachers, while being specifically relevant to the theme at hand.
