The LTE Group and DN Colleges Group are among the 20 institutions that have been successful in bids to the £5.4m College Collaboration Fund.
The Department for Education has today released the full list of colleges or college groups that will receive grants of at least £100,000 to ”collaborate and share good practice to address common quality improvement priorities”. The fund builds on the Strategic College Improvement Fund (SCIF).
The first round of funding was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, but applications reopened in June.

Colleges were invited to bid for up to £500,000 and are expected to contribute total match funding equal to a minimum of 25 per cent of the total cost of the programme of work.
Each of the 20 colleges receiving funds has a partner college or colleges that they will specifically work with.

Apprenticeships and skills minister Gillian Keegan said: “Now more than ever, it’s vital that colleges can support their students to gain the skills they need to progress and employers and our economy need to grow. This fund will help colleges work together, to develop cutting-edge digital approaches to online learning , to overcome new challenges and continue to deliver high-quality education and training for the communities they serve.
“The past few months have been a challenging time for the sector, but they have gone above and beyond to support their students. This additional funding will help to support further collaborative work as we move forward. I look forward to hearing more about their progress and wish them all the best.”
