GLF Schools has announced that Phil Humphreys has been appointed as its new chief education officer.
Mr Humphreys has most recently worked as director of education at Lift Schools, where he led on education strategy.
GLF Schools is a multi-academy trust running 43 schools in the South of England.
Mr Humphreys said: “I have long admired the work of GLF Schools and am excited to be joining the trust as it pivots towards its next phase of development.”
He added that he is looking forward “to working with our leaders, teachers and communities to achieve ambitious and equitable outcomes for all our children”.
James Nicholson, the interim chief executive of GLF Schools, said: “As one of the largest trusts in the country, we continually invest in providing an excellent education to all of our students and by appointing Phil we are adding even more expertise and experience to our leadership team. Phil’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for GLF Schools.
“His vision aligns with our mission to ensure every child receives the best possible start in life.”
Earlier this year it was announced that Julian Drinkall was stepping down as chief executive of GLF Schools with immediate effect.
