Tes Fe Awards: Entires Open For 2021

The Tes FE Awards 2021 are now open for entries.

Further education's most prestigious awards turn the spotlight on to the achievements of the sector, and recognise outstanding individuals and institutions in FE: from the best specialist providers to colleges going the extra mile in the community; from an amazing apprenticeship programme to excellent use of technology in teaching.

And with FE providers going above and beyond to support their communities, students and staff during the coronavirus pandemic, there has never been a more important time to celebrate the sector's successes.

The awards will take place at 8pm on Friday 28 May and, as in 2020, will be hosted online, with a number of surprises and special guests planned.

Minister for apprenticeships and skills, Gillian Keegan, said: "The Tes FE Awards are more important than ever this year, to recognise the sector's top talent and give them the recognition they deserve during a challenging time.

"I've seen first-hand just how much brilliant work is already going on in the FE sector, which will be vital to ensure more people can retrain and upskill so we can unlock even more potential and level up opportunities across the country. I wish the nominees good luck and look forward to hearing the results."

Julia Belgutay, head of FE at Tes, said: "Celebrating the further education sector has always been important, but never more so than this year. Colleges and providers have gone above and beyond to support their learners during the coronavirus pandemic, and that deserves to be recognised. In light of the pandemic, we have introduced a new category to acknowledge those institutions that have been particularly innovative in the delivery of remote teaching and learning. I am excited to hear what the sector has come up with.

"These awards are the biggest and the best, and even though this year, sadly, we again cannot mark the occasion with a glittering awards dinner, there is still no better way to showcase what you and your colleagues have achieved than by entering the Tes FE Awards."
