The Tes Schools Awards was a brilliant evening, celebrating the awe-inspiring efforts of schools and teachers to support and inspire their pupils in in 2019-20.

Every school that made the shortlist deserves to be commended, but there can only be one winner per category. Here is a list of those who scooped the prizes:

• Maths teacher or team of the year: Malton School

• English teacher or team of the year: Queen Katharine Academy

• Science, technology and engineering teacher or team of the year: Sedgefield Community College

• Best use of technology: Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School

• Community and collaboration award: Cadoxton Primary School

• Environment champion of the year: Hannah Tombling, Diamond Wood Community Academy

• Wellbeing and mental health award: Chorlton High School

• Home learning resource of the year: Classroom Secrets

• Alternative provision school of the year: Eastbury Community School

• Early years setting of the year: St Bede CofE Primary Academy

• Primary school of the year: St Aloysius Primary Federation

• Secondary school of the year: Sedgefield Community College

• Overall school of the year: Eastbury Community School
