They will explore the issues such as farming, transport, effects on oceans and different biodiversities. Linked to the UAE COP28 children create a speech for a TEDX event. This is a collection of 8 lessons which teach children how to write a persuasive speech about the dangers of climate change. Children create a TEDX talk linked to COP28 held in UAE. This can eaisly be adapted to link to other events globally. The speech is structured to encourage children and adults to make a change. Lesson 1 - Immersion Lesson 2 - Reading lesson about different issues that impact climate change such as farming, transport, biodiversity etc (Twinkl texts not included but can be downloaded) Lesson 3 - Features structure of speech Lesson 4 - AFORESTPIE language features of speech Lesson 5 - Planning Lesson 6 - Write introduction Lesson 7 - Write Main Points Lesson 8 - Write final call to action and conclusion **There is also a stuck station which will link to Seesaw with word mats and videos to support writing. ** Each writing lesson is supported by a WAGOLL which focuses on AFORESTPIE language features.
