General information about The Arctic.

I created this support mat for my Year 6 children to remind them what needs to go into their writing in order for them to achieve some of the "expected" expectations. It has proved quite successful in class and the children always have them out when writing. It also includes examples to prompt the children and remind them about, for example, fronted adverbials, prepositions etc.

A PowerPoint for younger children (EYFS and KS1) about different arctic animals. Some slides include sounds from the animal as well as information and pictures.

A four page Book Quiz Page one - Name the 5 authors Page two - Name the 5 book characters Page three - Name the book title Page four - Guess the book from the 9 clues given Page five - Answer sheet 24 questions in total for children to answer.

I have used these resources with the children when learning about the Northern Saints in RE. I used this as my opening lesson. The children really enjoyed this lesson and creating their own emojis. I have included an example of their work and how they used the booklet.

A Power Point lesson I made for my Yr3/4 class to start our topic of World War One. Contains some sounds (bomb exploding, a gun shot and a song sung by soldiers during WW1). It also contains some questions for the children to answer as well as the worksheet and assessment activity for the end of the lesson.

When learning about the Northern Saints, the children used this Saintbook template to gather information about their chosen saint. They really enjoyed this lesson and produced some amazing Saintbook profiles.
