These lessons were designed for a year 6 class, middle ability, but would transfer well to low ability KS3 classes. The Grendel lesson was an observation lesson which was graded as Outstanding last year. They are designed to promote collaboration and independence. There are lots of Kagan style activities designed to engage a boy-heavy group.

Created for Year 5 and 6, with the key grammar, punctuation and spelling rules for the new criteria for the SATs. I cut them out individually and binded with a keyring. They took a long time to make, but really helped with the children’s revision and I had positive feedback from parents who also used them a guide.

Two lessons encouraging collaboration and giving the students a ‘taster’ of the warm up activities and collaborative learning activities. It was created for students who had had little experience of drama and needed to appreciate the discipline and expectations of the subject.
