Video tutorials based on the work of @gideonwilliams that take learners through making Pacman in Scratch.
PS - video number 7 is by Jake in my Y7 group who figured out how to stop the prizes reappearing in the walls.
I've also put an AfL-style before & after self assessment sheet in that&'s really good for starters é plenaries.
A nice little lesson in which learners edit the HTML of a webpage to customise it.
You'll need to get the files set up in a decent folder structure first and ensure learners save the structure exactly as you want. The first video gives an example of how I&'ve done it on our network.
A full set of lesson slides and student task sheets for introducing python programming to beginners.

A lesson designed to introduce copyright and creative commons.
Learners watch a YouTube video and complete a match activity. They then complete an activity in which they search for copyright free images to match some song lyrics.
Short starter activity. 2 sheets per page. On the left is a collection of images of mobile designs before 2007. On the right are images of phones post 2007. Students have to guess what happened in 2007 to cause the shift in design.
This homework helps pupils to understand the importance of picking relevant keywords when searching the web.
It's a competition to see who can get the fewest search results with a two word search.
The aim of the game is to try and find a Googlewhack.
Lesson tasks for Scratch programming - based on the PRIMM pedagogy
In Word doc format exported from OneNote, so please ignore any formatting glitches.
Runs for about 4-5 lessons, aimed at Y7 but suitable for a bit above or below.
Lessons are:
Output - use and customise say and think output blocks, wait commands, multiple sprites with timings.
Input and variables - input text, create & set variables, use join to put variables in say output blocks.
Variables and operators - using maths operators, true/false conditions, tracing data in variables.
Selection - If and else, conditions, using operators in conditions, branching.
The tasks in this course make use of the PRIMM pedagogical approach. This model is based upon Rosenshine’s principles of instruction.
Please use, adapt and share under creative commons non commercial share-alike license.

Remember Minipops?
This is a complete SOW in which learners design and create their own multiple choice quiz.
