Structured for the new Edexcel A-level, I’ve created mind maps as a revision aid for most topics on the Pure A2 / year 13 course. My aim is to get my students working through past paper questions as personal study with these mind maps, formula booklet and classwiz at hand. I urge the students to write on them / annotate them if there’s key points or omissions. The mind maps haven’t been checked for errors so tell me if there’s any on there.

I’ve been covering the Normal Distribution with my Y13 A-level mathematicians 30 minutes a week, after school. This is the booklet we’ve been working our way through steadily. I haven’t taught this topic before so borrowed the content from other TES contributors (thank you) and added a mind map to the front to categorise the sections within the booklet and types of questions to expect. The knowledge organiser contains diagrams and prompts for the A-level Decision 1 unit of Further Mathematics on Edexcel. Designed to print on 2 sides of A3, there is space for the students to annotate the knowledge organiser. I used this as a course summary before launching into past paper practice.

This pack is intended for students to use once they have covered the AS content, either in preparation for their AS exam, or more likely alongside year 2 of the course to improve fluency, recall and pace on AS topics.
