Lower KS2. This set of worksheets builds up ability in counting forwards and backwards in tenths. The difficulty progresses, from adding to the end of a sequence, including mixed numbers, going to the next whole number, and the final worksheet requires pupils to fill in the gaps in the sequence. These worksheets are great as independent skills practise, and may take up a full lesson or two as part of a week's topic.

Upper KS1/ Lower KS2. This worksheet builds children's skills of using thesauruses, and extends their vocabulary to use more interesting adjectives in their creative writing. May be used as a whole-class activity, in small groups, or individually, dependent on your class' ability.

Upper KS1/Lower KS2. This activity tests children's ability to differentiate between adjectives, adverbs and verbs. Works well as a quick starter or plenary activity to test their grammatical understanding. Good for paired work, or can be reduced in content to make appropriate for individuals.

Lower KS2. These worksheets are great for practising the standard addition and subtraction methods, but applying them to real life contexts, using money as a unit of measure. As well as being given the sums directly to practise, there are also some word problems to allow the children to recognise the vocabulary given to hint at what working out they need to do. There is also chance to practise converting between working in pounds and pence. These sheets are best to be worked on individually, to allow practise for all children.

Upper KS1/ Lower KS2. This worksheet is aimed at preparing for column addition, using place value grids and arrow cards to add numbers up to three digits long. Children don't need to be able to carry the tens up to complete the worksheet. Great for supporting lower ability children using visual aids to help their addition skills.

Upper KS1/Lower KS2. This worksheet enables children's ability to match adverbs to a verb appropriately, rather than guessing at any -ly word. Can be successfully used as a whole-class, in group work, or independently. The worksheet may also act successfully in a grammar-based intervention session.

Lower KS2. This worksheet should be used once the concept of direct speech is understood. It works well as an independent activity to test understanding of punctuating speech. Students must use capital letters, full stops, exclamation marks, question marks, commas and speech marks to successfully complete the activity. Children also have the opportunity to demonstrate understanding of using 1st person narrative only during speech, and then moving to 3rd person once speech marks are closed.

Lower KS2. These worksheets allow progression to learn increasingly complex methods of comparing size of shapes. Initially, children will compare sizes of shapes by sight, then by measuring perimeter, and learning to find the length of a missing side. Then, children will count squares to find the total area, before learning to multiply the values of adjacent sides to get the answer. The final worksheet uses word problems, so the children can apply their knowledge to real life situations. This set of sheets would make a good contribution to a shapes topic, and can be worked on individually and also using peer mentoring among varying abilities. *FOR WORKSHEET 1, YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE 5 OF YOUR OWN SHAPES (BEST ON SQUARED PAPER).
