There is very little out there for a topic based around the Mediterranean. So I put together a half term's worth of planning to engage the children. They enjoyed all the activities and took an autonomous approach to their learning. Used in a year 3 group.

This lesson whiteboard flipchart was used as part of a observation and particularly proud. Was used as an introduction to the idea of using personification (particularly in poetry, but can be edited and used in other english lessons). The lesson saw the children using examples of shoes and making them 'come alive'. Written plan can be provided.

A lesson about what makes the child unique. Activity where children draw thier hands and label their strengths and weaknesses and what makes them different, their interests etc. Simple and easy set up for a KS2 and adaptable for a KS1 class.

A interactive story to help children to understand Odd and Even numbers. My children LOVED it and after struggling to teach the concept the children grasped it ever so quickly! Really chuffed so would like to share and help others out. Please rate and comment :-) Enjoy.

A really simple questionnaire asking pupils what they like and dislike about school in order to help write reports and get to know your children a little better.

A fun, practical lesson teaching children to think about place value whilst measuring parts of their body. They will order numbers and then, as an extension, add amounts to these amounts. My children loved this activity and it requires very little set up. Enjoy - please review and rate.

This simple work sheet asks (probably Lower Ability) children to make the multilink towers, put them into size order and label the TALLEST to SHORTEST and draw a line to each.
