Simple, Descriptive Periodic Table

(0)
For middle school science, periodic tables are always too complex. This Periodic Table has rounded atomic Masses, color codes the families and includes atomic numbers, which elements are man made, radioactivity and a keys to help students see relationships. I have ordered Legos which coordinate with the colors of the chart which I use for a molecule building lab. I had this one made because I was unable to find a satisfactory one for my students.

Evolution- Natural Selection Game

(0)
This Natural Selection game teaches about how evolution occurs through different catastrophes such as ice ages, meteors, global warming, and humans. The student portion can be printed on one sheet front and back and even though the prep is amazingly simple, kids will beg to continue playing until the end of the class time as they watch their creatures live, die, and re-evolve. After the lesson, good discussions can be had on what people are doing to biodiversity, how traits are not ‘better’ or ‘worse’ but simply best for the environment, and how new life has to come from the life before.
