Lesson on the factors affecting diffusion and using Fick's Law. I set up the tea based practicals around the room, for the students to rotate their way through, with the accompanying powerpoint slides printed out on the tables with the equipment. (You will need teabags of different shapes, loose leaf tea, a strainer or mini-sieve, 'X' printed to put under the beaker to watch it disappear as the tea diffuses, kettles)

Observed lesson (graded outstanding) on Hooke's Law. The worksheet was one I found on here - with different difficulties. Print the slide showing the different springs on the graph in A3 for tables.

Lesson on transpiration for a very low ability year 9 class. I got them to draw a simple cross-section of plant and show the journey of water at the start. You will need Episode 2 of the Private Life of Plants, from about 6mins 30sec onwards!

Observed lesson on specific heat capacity. I used the 'Calorimetry' work sheets from Chemsheets in conjunction with this powerpoint.

Observed lesson on pressure, started with collapsing can demo, then talked about balloons deflating. Sentence starters for differentiation included.
