Creative Writing prompts for a writing club

28 tasks/creative writing prompts for a weekly writing club. My writing club is called Word Up and runs one lunchtime a week. Each week has a theme and is advertised to pupils with these posters. The first 10-15 minutes of each week's session is an art/craft activity, game or puzzle related to the theme. Pupils then produce a piece of creative writing (short story, poem, letter, diary, rap, etc). Competitions can be held in school or work can be sent to national writing competitions where pupils can have their work published. Attached here are just a selection: more to follow. They are easily adaptable and can be used as starters in lessons or to assist in teaching creative writing.
