Also included is a list of the words in the order they appear to help grown-ups at home if these are set as home learning. KS1 French seasons powerpoint

Use this powerpoint to teach your KS1 class the seasons in French. This aligns well with seasonal changes in KS1 science. The powerpoint is fully animated and fully written in French. Use the starter slide to cover the greetings. Ask the children to walk around the classroom and when you make a signal (clap, bells etc.) they stop and have to use the conversation language to greet the person they have met. Walk around at the same time to get involved, the children love it. The slides show the photo of the season before the word. The words are animated. When the children feel confident about the seasons, play the ‘catchphrase’-style game. Each slide with show a different seasons picture and the children need to say the season in French. Depending on your class, split into groups and make it a competition for who can remember the most seasons. Thank you for downloading :)

The sheet shows the 1-digit number being regrouped into 2 numbers to find the nearest ten when subtracting across a ten. Thank you for downloading :)
