Year 12 Transition Lessons - English Literature

(0)
Two lessons designed for the Year 11 taster days for Sixth Form. One lesson introduces students to the concept of Marxism, focusing on Brecht’s ‘Questions from a Worker who reads’ poem. The second lesson focuses on introducing students to the critical concept of Literary Value. This looks at what it means for texts to be valuable, whilst reading Swift’s ‘A Beautiful Young Nymph Going to Bed’. Both lessons were designed for the AQA Literature B specification. There are also suggestions for a student summer project to aid transition to KS5.
