Fall/Autumn Tree Painting English & French

(0)
Fall Tree Painting and Writing Activity This fun fall activity combines art, early writing, and fine-motor practice. It is a perfect follow-up to reading Fletcher and the Falling Leaves or another fall-themed story. Children begin by writing their name. They can then write a word or sentence based on their ability. Writing ideas include: tree I see a tree. I like the big tree. arbre Je vois un arbre. J’aime le grand arbre. Children colour the trunk and branches brown. They then dip their fingertips into red, yellow, and orange paint and stamp colourful leaves around the tree. They can use cotton balls instead of their fingers. For older students: Place an elastic band around a small bundle of Q-tips. Children can dip the ends into paint and stamp clusters of tiny leaves onto their trees. This activity supports creativity, fine motor skills, colour recognition, early writing, and English or French vocabulary.
