These resources include a spreadsheet for trial exam results which will calculate grades for individual papers + overall grades at both Foundation & Higher Tier. Because there are no grade boundaries for the new exam, I have decided to use the last lot of grade boundaries as at least a starting point- the last lot of grade boundaries were back to where they should be, as the previous few years had adjustments for COVID and also to address the harsh marking for MFL. I have therefore created the spreadsheet using the Edexcel 2025 grade boundaries from the old exam, scaled to match the marks for each component for the new GCSE. In future years, you just need to change the marks to grades on the second sheet of the spreadsheet (overall marks to grades + individual components).
There are also tick sheet marksheets for the new writing exams to hopefully speed up marking and see where students are gaining/dropping marks + some feedback/target sheets for students to have for all components of the exams. These can be added to/adapted as necessary.
Finally there is a sheet for students to log their marks & grades for their trial exams - again, can be adapted as appropriate.
These concept maps provide a quick and easy cover solution for a lesson or two. The concept maps could be done individually or as a pair work activity.
The red resource booklet referred to is for sale elsewhere in my shop, but this reference could be changed to refer to any resources that the students might have, such as their own exercise book.
