The lesson starts with how Covid has affected the UK and has accompanying knowledge organiser for students. Task 2 is a devolution MCQ. Task 3 is a Venn diagram task where students use the timeline to see the similarities and differences between West Minster, Scottish Parliament and the Welsh assemblies responses to Covid. Task 4 is a BBC news article on Covid and devolution, where students look at whether devolution helped or hindered the Covid response. Finally students look at how this Theme B topics links to theme C through annotation of Covid legislation. There is also a HW task included that looks at Covid protests and whether they were justified. (This links to previous lessons in the SOL). Please let me know of any issues.

This was a 15 minute assembly delivered to y7s-10 The assembly includes information, videos and an interactive element where 2 students are asked to come out to the front to guess higher or lower based on the information they have heard in the previous slides. All videos work – Checked in July 2022

This was a drop down workshop with Y10. I created and delivered this to 75 students at a time, and it worked well. It would also make a great lesson for RSE. The session is approximately 1 hour long. A workshop or lesson on Peer on Peer abuse. I have delivered this as a workshop to smalls groups in year 10. The final activity is a poster as we wanted the students to get involved with what it means for our academy. These were then displayed. Now both Scotland and Wales have changed the voting age to 16 should England? The lesson looks at devolution as well as voting and how the voting age is an example of devolution. This task asks students to make link between the key concepts/topics of the Edexcel GSCE Spec B Christianity. The first slide is instructions with 2 WAGOLLs. Students who are middle or lower ability can make links between 2 topics at a time. Students who are more able should be able to choose 3 or more hexagons to link together. They should be able to see how other chains then links to others. They can do this individually or this can be printed on A3, cut out for students and completed as a group task. I would do this on desks, allowing students to write on the desks using white board pens to make links between the hexagons.
