Food & Countries

(1)
A great time-filler or revision exercise for elementary level students to help them identify what food comes from what country. Cut up the words and place each one upside down. Students should work in pairs and take it in turns to uncover the cards to reveal matched pairs. Once each pair is matched, students should write sentences in the present simple. Example: Sushi is from Japan.

Hi everyone, I made this miming activity to help students feel more comfortable when using the present continuous tense. It’s designed for Elementary level ESL/EFL students. I’ve used this activity with my own students and it’s been quite successful with lots of laughter. I hope you and your students enjoy it too!
