You need to decide on your own mock question then use the "walking talking mock to show students how they should tackle the exam.

A two week SOL (8 lessons) to prepare for AQA New Specification- Paper 1, Section B. I made this to introduce the KS3 packs to year 7 but found it a useful revision for lower ability KS4, It introduces the conventions of narrative writing, character building and setting. There is group work to create a character which then leads to a S & L presentation, using AQA new mark scheme. There is differentiation in ans extension tasks.

A step by step guide on how to answer Q2. Students use three different highlighters for each bullet point then plan their answer. My students grade have increased by spending more time planning.

I used this as an introduction to the Anthology Poetry skills in Year 8, could be used for Year 7. It is an three week scheme which covers the basic skills they require for the exam in GCSE. A two week SOL which covers AO3 (context) and introduction to language analyses of a novel. Students are given different resources to understand the context and why it is important in studying the background of a novel for their GCSE. The opening of the novel is used to analyse the effect of language. Resource can be used as a stand alone to understand context or an introduction to novel if teaching it in KS3.

Two lessons to prepare/revise Q4 on AQA Paper one. I used it before the students completed a question 4 on an exam paper. It covers the skills required and a model answer from a small extract. Two Power Points and resources included.

I used this PPT over a three lesson period, with a middle set of students. They will create their own revision guide to use prior to their exam. They will revise the Historical Background (AO3), The purpose of The Prologue and practice an exam question.
