This is a Lower Primary Christmas play aimed at Year 1-3. It tells the story of how Rudolph came to pull Santa’s slay on Christmas Eve. It also teaches an anti-bullying message touching on Rudolph being bullied because he looked different. The play incorporates three choral parts as the narration, which are then followed by acting out the scenes. There is scope for adding different Christmas songs also. The play was originally performed with around one hundred students but can be edited for more or less.

Easy comprehension questions (‘Wh’ questions) including the page reference relating to the question - The questions cover the book from Chapter 1 to the epilogue of George’s Cosmic Treasure Hunt by Lucy and Stephen Hawking. The questions are pretty comprehensive and so you can edit them down depending on the levels of the students. There are page references next to the questions, but these can be edited out for different levels of difficulty.

This is a Christmas play titled “Lost in the Department Store”. It has been performed in Hong Kong and in the UK. A brief outline of the plot is that a boy/girl goes to a department store on Christmas Eve with her parents, loses them and then with the help of a reluctant Santa goes on a journey through the department store trying to find them. Each level (department) gives the opportunity for an individual class to sing a song or Christmas song and do a bit of acting. Departments include: Sports, Cultural, Food, Electrical , Art ,etc. The play was originally performed by approx one hundred and fifty students, but can be edited to more or less.

An experiment that I did with my SEN class to find protein in food using Biuret Reagent.

A resource to help students visually see which numbers are to be rounded up and down. This resource can be used with Year 2 or any primary age group / SEN cohort that is struggling with the concept. The resource can also be laminated and then used with a wipeable pen to save paper. Ways to use the resource Put the number that you want to round in the left hand boxes and the two numbers to be rounded up or down on the right hand boxes. Then ask the students to circle the correct box that should be rounded to (for example 48 in the left box and 50 & 40 in the right boxes). Put the number that you want to round in the left hand boxes and leave the two boxes to be rounded up or down on the right hand side. Then ask the students to fill in the boxes that should be rounded up to (for example 48 in the left box the student should write 50 & 40 in the right boxes). Then ask the student to circle the correct box.
