Using the words from Appendix 1 document from the 2014 New Curriculum, which specifies words for year 3/4 and years 5/6 that children often misspell (also known as common exception words), I have created a set of record sheets for years 3-6 to enable you to assess which words your children can both read and spell. Ready to print and use and made manageable by dividing words into sets -a few each half term. A really clear way to assess children individually as the year progresses and a second record can be used to conduct a summative assessment in the Summer term.
