GCSE paper 1 AQA revision workbook Business Studies

For use during lessons, after school workshops, intervention with TA or teacher, or for homework. This workbook covers the topics from paper one AQA and is a list of questions/tasks for students to answer either with or without a textbook. This has been generated using the SOW provided by AQA and its aim is to ensure that students have the knowledge required to answer paper one. However, it does not attempt to cover technique. Could do with the user making it more attractive, but for those on a tight budget for photocopying it has been kept plain.

CIE A Level Business - formula sheet

There are many formulas that Year 13 students are expected to memorise when taking their A2 and somewhat unhelpfully, Cambridge do not put these all together in the specification. I have created a sheet that does this, but I have only used the main ones, there are more that you may wish to add. You may also prefer to use the other way to calculate some of the ratios etc. It is a starting point and may save you some time. This resource is free, but if you download it please at least leave a comment. Thank you

investigation lesson on mergers

Similar to the lesson provided by McGettigan (two slides are taken from this original version and included in this PowerPoint)on types of growth but rather than a tutorial it is an investigation. Starts off with some basic facts, followed by an investigation into Cadburys, questions on a worksheet, then thinking about the advanatges and disadvantages of this type of growth. Will need a follow up homework to read text books, but this flip teaching style is becoming more popular.

GCSE Business exam technique

In order to explain what the 4 assessment criteria mean to my EAL students, I created this PowerPoint to help show what knowledge, application, analysis and evaluation look like. It is a starting point, you would still need to explain the exam technique for your board but at least this should help students understand each word better.

To help you run a whole school enterprise day I have uploaded all my resources that I used to run a very successful event with years 7-9 (years 11-13 had finished exams and left at this point and year 10 were on work experience). It is an up-cycling challenge and we had all been collecting rubbish for weeks! Also included is the job description for some year 10 helpers who were doing their work experience in school. Obviously you will need to adapt it for your school timings etc but its a free resource so I think that is fair. Please rate. thanks

Cambridge International GCSE Revision Book

This pack has been created for students to fill in whilst referring to the textbook as they do so. It covers all 6 units. I created it as I have students who have dropped other subjects but are still doing Business, they needed some extra work to do in the time that was gained. I am sharing for free, but would ask that if you download it, that you at least leave a comment. Thank you

Practice paper similar to AQA unit 2 Full one hour paper No mark scheme Useful if you have already done all the past papers available, and if you have then you should be so used to the marking that you do not need a mark scheme! Feedback is very much appreciated!

For term 3 Mainly revision style questions to help students focus their revision for the written examination. There are six homeworks, the last one to be done over the February break. The dates are specific to me so will need changing to your own. I find it easier to use mail merge and personalise the books, these are then printed out and also emailed to students so there can be no excuses for not completing. Additionally if students know what they have to do for the whole term it helps them get more organised and also for myself there is no last minute worrying about what to set. I can still set additional homework! The effort grades referred to are specific to my school and these are reported home at the end of each term, by sharing with the student what their grade is for each homework the end of term grade they receive from me will not come as a surprise. If this saves you some time, excellent, that is the purpose of this site.
