This is designed to condense key information down to one page for ease of revision. Each page summarises key information about the composer, their key works and characteristics of their music. There is also a QR code which will link students to a padlet I have created with further resources, wider listening and factual information about each composer.

I use this page as a sort of listening map for my GCSE students. It helps us to map out our listening by using the musical elements as a starting point. I have used in lessons and also have set for home learning for specific pieces of music. Helps them to structure their listening and apply key vocabulary.

This is an exam-style question I created based on the set work ‘Within you, without you’. We worked through this together in the lesson and then they did some research on the role of the Classical Indian instruments that feature within this track and completed the table.
