Resource includes Case Study, Essay plan structure which provides instructions for each paragraph and a colour coded exemplar response. Following this format my students are now hitting the top band range. My students have really started to develop their essays as a result of following this formatted structure. I have put together a student self-assessment booklet for the new Edexcel GCSE (9-1) Business. This is for Theme 1 - Investigating Small Business. The front cover provides a progress chart to demonstrate progress over time using the new point score grades, which will then illustrate student target grade, baseline assessment and student progress and attainment as they complete end of module tests. I am currently delivering this with my year 9 students. Students have had a term of covering the basic topics as an introduction to Business Studiesand will start the course content in the second term. Would welcome any feedback and/or comments

The purpose of these book marks is to provide students with an easy access resource to exam structure. I've also used these to help develop students in expanding on their written structure, they glue their book mark in the margins of their exercise book and use as a reference guide whilst completing each style of question. I have also made these in to key rings by laminating them and having them on their desks. Giving students ample opportunity to practice and develop their exam structure

Here is an assessment for 1.1 Enterprise and entrepreneurship - covered by a range of style exam questions including MCQ's, Explain, Discuss and Evaluate. Also using the new approach of using case study material. It is intended to test the learning in order to monitoring progress and attainment over time, which is then recorded on the Theme 1 student monitoring and assessment booklet (another resource I have on the TES). Included is an appropriate Mark Scheme using exam board structure and guidance. I have also matched on the front cover of the assessment grade boundaries in order to match assessment against the new grading system. I intend to include assessments like this throughout the course.

Unit 8 Choosing Strategic Direction is a small unit taken from the AQA Spec, which covers strategic positioning including Porters 5 Force Model, Ansoff Matrix and Bowman's Strategic Clock. I have put together a student summary in order to support their learning and to provide a revision resource. This includes definitions, explanations and diagrams of all three models.

I produced this Revision Checklist for my AS Students to help them to RAG Rate their understanding to support their revision. They used this to then inform me as to what topics they felt needed revisiting. Useful for students to personally record their own achievements and progress.

This is an end of topic test covering the learning of Dynamic Nature of Business the first topic of 1.1 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. There is no formal mark scheme at this time, due to the fact that this is still a grey area with the qualification. However, one could adopt the similar mark scheme of the legacy GCSE. In addition I have provided possible answers including a response to the 12 mark question following the same structure and principles of the old GCSE such as following the "It depends on" rule etc... The test is one of 3 tests, which cover the first module of Theme 1 Investigating Small Business 1.1 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship using typical exam style questions. This is very much new territory for everyone and my aim is to provide a resource that enables and encourages assessment and feedback to students in order to prepare them for their GCSE at the end of the course. If for whatever reason you feel this resource does not do this please provide feedback so I can adapt and change where needed.

Here is my Wall display I have in my classroom, which supports students through the A Level essay structure using the P.An.E.L and A.J.I.M approach. Enables students to get the most out of their essay writing in order to get the higher grades. Also includes a colour coded student exemplar to share with students to demonstrate how the structure works... My students essay's have certainly improved since using it.

I have put together keywords and definitions to support the new Edexcel GCSE (9-1) Business, which I am delivering with year 9 students. These have been created using a Bunting style approach, which would look great in any classroom and a bit different than the usual word wall. If you print them out back to back they can hang across the classroom as I duplicated each page and then just hang them on some string. I got mine laminated so they would last and they look great... students love them and they do use them. Hope you like

I achieved an outstanding following the lesson observation for this particular lesson. Good techniques used to demonstrate progress being achieved within the lesson. This resources contains the lesson plan, PowerPoint and all the activities from the lesson including the differentiated worksheets. Students really enjoyed the lesson, making paper airplanes to demonstrate the theory of productivity.

Topic 1.1.1 Dynamic Nature of Business Included is the lesson PowerPoint with lesson aims, student differentiated template, Extension Tasks, Starters, student activities and student mini project to apply their knowledge and understanding. This was completed over 2 lessons and students loved it, especially when discussing past business ideas and gadgets and why they failed. Students really enjoyed this lesson and produced some really good quality work, some of which I have now used in a display.

Lesson PowerPoint covering the topic of Income Elasticity of Demand, showing definitions, explanations and worked examples. In addition Work Sheet and Answers also provided.

Unit 8 Choosing Strategic Direction End of Unit test, comprises of 3 sections Section A Multiple Choice Questions - to check knowledge and understanding Section B Short answer Questions to check K+U as well as application and analysis Section C 1 essay style question to cover all the learning Objectives Included is the mark scheme, which will hopefully assist in grading. I intend to put together a series of these end of unit tests as a means of building exam skills of my students. Once I do I shall put them all on here in the future. I've been using Knowledge organisers as a way of providing students with an overview of each topic from the spec and this is the first one for my Year 11's. IT provides everything they need for each topic, Theories and Concepts, Keywords and definitions, Diagrams and images relating to the topic.
