Over 100 artist fact sheets. All sheets include examples of their work and basic information such as: • Artist name, DOB (wherever possible), DOD (Still living or when they died), Nationality, Media used, Techniques used, Famous for, Genre, Art movement/s and a short paragraph summarising their work. All on PowerPoint so fully editable. • A4 portrait format. I have also created subcategory PowerPoints that focus on specific areas, these include only the artist that fit into these categories: • Complete collection • Conceptual art • Natural form • Figures and portraits • Urban art • Water and sea life • Insects • Identity • Food • Sculpture, 3D and installations • Landscape This database has been a working progress for many years and I continue to add to it all the time. In future I will add more artists, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Step by step sock monster project for KS3 students, linked with the designer John Murphy. Suitable for textile design and design technology lessons classes. Research and useful links provided as well as a completed example. Steps for students: Slide 1 – your title “Sock Monsters”, your name and your class. Slide 2 – Research page on John Murphy including information about him (in your own words) and photos of his work. Slide 3 – create mood board of images of sock monsters and other sock creations (minimum of 10 images) Create your own sock monster. Slide 4 – Photos of your completed sock monster (you can also include photos as you made it). Slide 5 – Evaluation Create a name and bio for your finished creature. Write a story about your creatures antics and illustrate it. You can do this by drawing your creature or by acting the story out and taking photos of him/her. This could be in the style of a comic book if you would prefer.
