Nice way of summing up volume - did this with Year 11, but have done it Year 9s and 10s, once they know the more difficult volume formulas. Pupils have to first pick a suitable fish tank with accessories to stay in budget and not go over the allocate volume of water allowed. Then they have to design their own, but justify the price and the volume of water needed.
