POWERPOINT Presentation/ Display pack- Can be printed A3 or A4.
Details Propp’s 7 character types, with example images. Easily adapted to suit your/ your school’s presentation needs!
Lesson designed around The Divergent movies, to get studies involved and motivated. Students are to revise the different types of narrative voice, before considering how the perspective of the story can change.
Students then have the opportunity to produce their own piece of writing.
A lesson I planned to teach William Blake's London for the new GCSE AQA specification.
Included, is my powerpoint, an annotated copy of the poem, as well as a handout of Lily Allens Ldn, to get students to start thinking about the poem.
I get lower ability students to copy the notes, primarily so they can see good annotations, but higher achieving students can make their own. Lesson easily adaptable to suit your needs.
Nifty little document to cut down on the marking or encourage self and peer assessment.
I have simplified the writing criteria that i look for (structure, vocabulary, use of devices and SPaG) then broken the skill set down to red, amber and green. When marking iI simply have to circle or highlight where i feel students are working at.
This is also great for peer assessment or self- reflection as students are encouraged to identify where they feel they are working well or struggling!!!
A Powerpoint allowing students to revise key themes in The Merchant of Venice. Students are to consider themes, characters linked to these themes as well Shakespeare’s message, before creating their own theme revision tables.
An easily adaptable lesson on how to compare poetry for the new GCSE English Literature comparison.
The model paragraph included uses the AQA Conflict cluster, but the example and question can be changed to suit your needs/ question.
A nifty little mark sheet with criteria for reading. I’ve broken down what is expected when writing your response to a question ( inference, evidence, technique , exploration) so the sheet can be used if you use PETAL, PEEL, PEA…or something else.
Great for quick marking, self-assessment or peer assessment, as the criteria is sorted into Red, Amber or Green. (I highlight/ circle where the students are working at, and encourage students to do the same.)
Great time saver!!!
A handy little sheet I use for Key Stage 4 marking, both Teacher and Peer Assessment.
Students can highlight the skills they are doing or the skills they need to improve on, with comments on WWW/ EBI.
This students understand their responses in regards to the mark scheme, but also saves you time from writing generic comments.
