Equivalent Fractions Video

(0)
A video made for the Confident Calculator YouTube channel that introduces the idea of Equivalent Fractions. It introduces the idea and the connected vocabulary in line with best practice and NCETM guidance. Great for teachers to share at the start of the unit, as a recap for students or sent with homework to help when students work at home. In this video, to help us become #ConfidentCalculators we will be looking at #equivalentfractions and the different ways we can find them. This video can be for students and teachers alike to use at home or in school to help us learn, recap and deepen our understanding of equivalent fractions. This video is from Year 2 (6 years +) as that is when equivalent fractions are introduced but might be especially helpful to share with students throughout KS2 to help refresh their memories on what an equivalent fraction is. #primarymaths #maths #mathsvideos #homeworkhelp #mathshomework

Calculation Language Bar Models for display

(0)
A variety of bar models with the accurate calculation language to support children’s understanding of the four operations, to help them learn the correct and accurate language, whilst also building relational understanding between the different calculations. These resources are great for display, especially for children Year 2 and upwards as they can really support children developing their understanding of fact families and how the calculations connect. Language in line with best practice and NCETM guidance. Also in line with and supports the Maths Mastery/Singapore Maths approach to teaching. I have used these when working with Maths - No Problem, White Rose, and Power Maths schemes of learning.
