A powerpoint which explains how to reference, use footnotes and create a bibliography in line with MHRA referencing. A great resource to use with Advanced Higher pupils who are unsure how to reference.

This handout will provide learners with an explanation of the perfect tense using avoir and etre. The students will learn how to form the perfect tense as well as be introduced to regular and irregular past participles. The handout includes the acronym DR MRS VANDERTRAMP, as well as some activities to consolidate learning. I have included a Word and PDF version of the document so you can edit/adapt if need be.

Avoir, Etre and Faire Present Tense Vocab

This vocab handout will support learners when learning the present tense forms of the verbs avoir, etre and faire. I usually teach these verbs to the tune of the Pink Panther (hence why this image is included on the handout - to trigger their memory of the tune!)

Etre Present Tense

This powerpoint will introduce students to the verb etre. It will teach them the etre present tense forms to the tune of Pink Panther (sorry - you will need to sing it unless you can find a video online!) There are a couple of tasks to reinforce the present tense etre forms. I use languagenut and linguascope with the students so got the students to consolidate and display their progress with the concept on that platform, as well as through classroom games and a vocab test.
