AQA GCSE Listening - Exam tips and Strategies - Specimen 1 H

(8)
This document goes through all the tricks of the AQA Specimen 1 paper (Higher). It recaps the key types of questions and how to overcome the tricks. I have used these in 2 different ways: You could give it to your class prior to doing the paper, and use it to build up strategies for the Listening paper. You could also give to your class while marking the paper, which will allow them to analyse their mistakes and work out how to improve. You will find the same format for the Specimen 2 and June 2018 papers, available for £1 each in my shop.

Une opportunité de bénévolat / A volunteering opportunity (GCSE and A-Level French)

(3)
This lesson works well as a recap for the topic of volunteering. It is easy to differentiate: as group / pair work or individual work, decide what will work best for your class. For very weak sets, I would also provide a list of key vocab (not included, as I found it was not needed - my classes just use their normal vocab lists). AQA GCSE French - Year 10 1.2 Theme 2: Local, national, international and global areas of interest Topic 2: Social issues - Charity/voluntary work Through the use of an authentic resource (video clip), enable your class to understand and respond to an opportunity to volunteer whilst practicing key GCSE skills and improving cultural knowledge. AQA A-Level French: AS (second half of Powerpoint) Theme 1: Aspects of French-speaking society: current trends The place of voluntary work Through the use of an authentic resource (video clip), enable the class to understand and respond to an opportunity to volunteer whilst improving cultural knowledge. This lesson received excellent feedback in a recent observation. Everything you need is included in the Powerpoint.
