This script was used for our Leaver’s Assembly where te children astarted school in 2014. References can be changed to suit.

This script was written to include performances from a whole school. Our version was filmed and pieced together to be shown via projection at assembly and sent out to parents. However, this could easily be performed in person. There are some topical/local refernces which can be changed to suit your area and school.

This showcase was performed by our whole school. Each class had a song (either sung, danced or performed on ukulele or african drums), but these can be changed and tailored to suit whichever skills you wish to showcase. There are names and topical refrences which need to be altered to suit your school. Although this was a ‘summer’ performance, it can be used at any of time of year by changing the dialogue and songs to suit the season.

These resources were used as part of a series of lessons about the Expressive arts world of work. The lessons are differentiated for Early, First level and Second level and, so can be completed by a whole school.

This booklet was used alongside visitors which we had to the school. However you could easily find youtube videos to tell you about each job or have the children complete some research.

A5 two stars and a wish self assessment that can be changed or adapted to suit the lesson.

A homework grid which was used every week. Children would choose one task a week to vomplete and would often share photos of them completing the task on the school twitter.

A worksheet where children are required to identify types of sentences, before creating their own.

I was teaching Expressive arts for RCT and completed this lesson before starting a block of singing. Classes, at the time, were also completing class topics around the human body so this was a good link.
