I created this resource maths resource when teaching a Year 6 class. Our topic was WW2 however this can be used just for translations. The children must move the army ship around the quadrants to get to different countries. I would recommend this for years 5-8.

A matching activity based on vocabulary from The Raven poem. Children to match the words to their definitions by either drawing a line or cutting and sticking. There’s two separate activities that can be used individually or as a whole. A great vocabulary activity even if you aren’t studying the poem. Children should read the word in the context of the poem to gain a better understanding and may use dictionaries to help them. suitable for Upper KS2 and KS3.
