This fun and fast-paced activity introduces the idea of a stimulus — a creative starting point to inspire original drama. Each of the 24 unique cards contains a surprising, mysterious, or funny line designed to spark imagination and kickstart devising. How it works: Cards are placed in a hat or face down on a table/floor. One student from each group picks 1 or 2 cards at random. Groups then devise a short piece (3–5 mins) that must include their chosen line(s). You can use the line as inspiration for the plot, a character, or a key moment - It’s up to you! This is a great opportunity for KS3 students to explore storytelling, character work, and improvisation, all through play. Ideal for Youth Theatres or Drama Clubs
