Minecraft themed. I used this with my year 4 class as a starter and introduction to adverbs in context. Basic adverbs with hyperlinks to the correct slide - children can “win” blocks which go up in value. Ideal for use with a touch screen device: I used it as a class but could be used individually. Please adapt in anyway which suits you. Just a bit of fun, really.

Inspired by cerieccles, I created a vocabulary booklet of the words throughout the book that I think a lack of understanding will impede overall comprehension of the story. It is the first text that I will be looking at in September - so if anyone else is doing it, perhaps it can help?

Sheet made for Year 4s to practise their place value skills as we begin addition and subtraction. Support for counter work. Questions add in exchanges for addition as the questions move on. Last question - GD knowledge. Feel free to adapt as necessary. Took me a little while to make, so if it can save someone else half an hour, all the better.

A sheet for children to use with their table partner, against the teacher to try and make a 4 digit number that meets the criteria - whole class game. Teacher draws 4 digit cards at random and places them in a box. Children try and create a number greater than/ smaller than/ with x amount of Th/H/T/Os. Maths talk sentence prompts/ questions at the bottom.
