Corn flour slime experiment

I had an official observation as part of my Training course for the School Direct programme and received a Good with Outstanding features for this. You've got the plan, the resources that I used as well as the flip chart. With the corn flour and water mixture, I had 1kg corn flour mixed with 500ml of water and it worked brilliantly. As long as you have a great, thick goo that resembles really thick honey, you're good to go! Please spend a few moments to leave a review :D .

Alan Peat 2A sentence - Tadpole's Promise

This resource was a Year 3 lesson that I did as part of an interview for a new teaching job and was told it was 'Outstanding' by the interviewers after already having a test run with The Monk and the Monkey lesson that I've also published on here. This is essentially a modified version of The Monk and the Monkey lesson using the children's book, Tadpole's Promise, by Jeanne Willis. I had to choose a book that I love for my interview, and well, it just had to be Tadpole's Promise. Like the other resource I've published, this has the plan, flip chart and worksheet/resources that you need for the lesson. If you'd like the flip chart as a PowerPoint resource, please let me know and I'll get that sorted :) . Please leave feedback :) .

Alan Peat 2A Sentence - The Monk and the Monkey

This resource was a Year 3 lesson that I did as part of an interview for a new teaching job and was told it was 'Outstanding' by the interviewers. It is a Literacy based lesson using a video stimulus, The Monk and the Monkey (which can be found on YouTube), and the Alan Peat sentence structure called '2A Sentence'. It focusses on the use of adjectives, expanded noun phrases and grammatical punctuation associated with this sentence type. If you've never used Alan Peat before, or are just simply looking for a new way to teach adjectives and expanded noun phrases, look no further! I hope you enjoy the resource as you have the flip chart, plan and resources (all differentiated) that I created for the lesson. Please leave feedback as I'd love to hear your thoughts. If you would like the flip chart to be made into a PowerPoint as that might be more accessible, please let me know.

Here's another lesson that I was graded as Good with Outstanding features in from a Uni official for my School Direct course. I've included, plan, resources, flip chart and the scientific background as well for your own subject knowledge - look particularly at pages 18-21 in the PDF. WARNING!! The ice balloons need at least 2 days in the freezer for this to work really effectively! Please leave a review and/or feedback :D .
