This is a carefully scaffolded lesson driving home the conceptual understanding of parallel and perpendicular property of lines. This lesson is carefully scaffolded to enhance understanding of rotational symmetry by lower ability pupils in key stage 3. It is expected that prior to this lesson reflective symmetry (or lines of symmetry) should have been learned by the pupils as it concerns common plane shapes. This lesson focuses on enhancing the conceptual understanding of lower ability learners. It builds confidence and encourages independent thinking.
